 I got that the 5-freebsd-12 branch will be the libbsd version for RTEMS
 5.1. That's why I put the patches there first to make it in time.

 My impression was that the 5 branch was created from master with the goal
 that in a future 5.x release libbsd might be created from this one, once
 the next FreeBSD version has been officially released.

 I wanted to make sure that if that happens, it has the same features as
 the 5-freebsd-12 branch. The discussion on the mailinglist was a bit
 confusing, so maybe I got it wrong.
