They are convenience links a good portion of people don't care about the website content and are just trying to get somewhere our metrics show that no sense in making them go to yet another page and have to read through anything.  They're still staying on \*.rtems.org so I wouldn't consider it 'away' from anything.

Yes the development page needs a lot of work anyone is welcome to suggest more content.
