It was committed to this branch as that was where I developed it. I am going to open MRs to bring the patch to `main` and 6-freebsd-14`. I don't mind if it goes into `main` first and then backported.

The non-functional rearrangements were just missed on my part. Not sure the best way to proceed given it has already been merged.
