The rsb recipe is currently using a safeclib release. There are two approaches to picking up the upstream changes. One is to switch from a release number to a git hash. The other is to add patches to the release.

I think moving this to a git has will be better since there are likely still changes to make.

@chris should weigh in also as to his preference.
