Regarding the personal repo approach: If this is acceptable to the mentors, I am ready to set up a blank project under my namespace to test the script.

I can configure the script to target that test project and verify that the parsing, uploading, and de-duplication logic works correctly without touching the main repository. I can then post the results and logs here for review.
