I recommend to remove the dangerous code and do not allow raising interrupts above `BSP_INTERRUPT_VECTOR_MAX_STD`. However, in this case you have to add gr712rc/gr740-specific tests for the extended interrupts to keep the code/branch coverage at 100%.
