So far, I've identified 2 such cases:
1. a broken configure script, affecting 3 BSPs
2. improperly integrated API changes, breaking 2 BSPs
Remaining are these:
mtx603e/log:../../../../../mtx603e/lib/ppcboot.lds:97: undefined symbol
`__rtems_start' referenced in expression
mvme2100/log:../../../../../mvme2100/lib/ppcboot.lds:97: undefined

mvme2307/log:../../../../../mvme2307/lib/ppcboot.lds:97: undefined

qemuprep-altivec/log:../../../../../qemuprep-altivec/lib/ppcboot.lds:97:
undefined symbol `__rtems_start' referenced in expression
qemuprep/log:../../../../../qemuprep/lib/ppcboot.lds:97: undefined
symbol `__rtems_start' referenced in expression
(IIRC, Joel previously reported this - Cause is still unknown,
Could gcc-4.7.0 related).
Failing for yet undetermined reasons with references to undefined
symbols are these:
qoriq_core_0
qoriq_core_1
qoriq_p1020rdb
