Then why were the gcc 4.7 PowerPC RPMs released with this
kind of regression?

What testing is done to ensure that a broken toolset is
not pushed out?

   - Is RTEMS compiled before they are pushed?
   - Do you run and report gcc tests?
   - Do you run any RTEMS tests?

A push of a broken/buggy toolset negatively impacts
people on the project.
