Is there a way to modify PHY register in libBSD?

Hi,
    I used ukphy driver in project, now I want to tune some PHY registers. Is there a way to modify PHY registers like *phy_fixup in Linux? Or other ways?
I think that modify the driver source directly is not a good way.
