All,
        I'm just starting to install rtems on a new Linux machine.

I've managed to install the RPMs but I can't unpack the RTEMS source files due to what appears to be corruption in the archive.

Here is what I get if I run tar in verbose mode

<snippet>
<...>
rtems-4.5.0-beta3a/c/src/exec/score/cpu/powerpc/new_exception_processing/cpu.c
rtems-4.5.0-beta3a/c/src/exec/score/cpu/powerpc/new_exception_processing/cpu.h

tems-4.5.0-beta3a/c/src/tests/itrontests/itrontime01/itrontime01.doc

tems-4.5.0-beta3a/c/src/tests/sptests/sp28/sp28.doc
tar: Skipping to next file header
tems-4.5.0-beta3a/c/src/tests/sptests/sp29/sp29.doc
tar: Skipping to next file header

gzip: stdin: invalid compressed data--crc error
tar: Archive ../archive/rtems-4.5.0-beta3a.tgz EOF not on block boundary
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
[root at Linuxbox_1 tools]#
<end snippet>

I've verified the size on the OAR site and it matches my archive

<archive size on my box>
[root at Linuxbox_1 tools]# ls -l ../archive/rtems-4.5.0-beta3a.tgz

[root at Linuxbox_1 tools]#

<tar version>
[root at Linuxbox_1 tools]# tar --version

I am running redhat Linux 6.1 on a brand new machine.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
