  During a nice long comprehensive read of the mailing list archives, I
discovered a Makefile for pc386 with the very promising title:

It would appear to be for an ELF target. Has it been successfully tested?
It is written to work with a pc386 target. I only have ELF targets for
pc486 and pc586. If it has been tested and found to work, I would be
overjoyed to rebuild the pc386 for an ELF binary format!
