network boot

Hi all.
I would like to configure RTMES (on a PC104 and with a 3c509 Ethernet card) 
to obtain a boot via network (NFS? FTP?). I found something on this archive, 
eg. the threads:

but I miss something...
Could someone give me some suggestions?
