I am using a Pentium II 350M machine, running Red Hat Linux 7.2, kernel 2.4.7-10.
I am trying to connect bdm to a 68en360 board very similar to an ACE360 ( similar hardware, local made )
I use this board with bdm of SDS cross- development tools ( SDS on-chip v7.0) and everything work OK, also with P&E tools.
The ICD cable from P&E is revision B.

I am migrating to Linux and using gdb-bdm-20020212

I installed the software acording with the install instruction in the package.

I installed the bdm driver, making ( make; make install ) from the linux-old directory, depmod complain, but I can isnmod bdm.

I installed the devs, with local_scripts/MAKEDEV, and this is the result of : ls -l /dev/bdm*

crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 34, 4 Apr 29 21:03 /dev/bdmcf0
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 34, 5 Apr 29 21:03 /dev/bdmcf1
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 34, 6 Apr 29 21:03 /dev/bdmcf2
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 34, 0 Apr 29 21:03 /dev/bdmcpu320
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 34, 1 Apr 29 21:03 /dev/bdmcpu321
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 34, 2 Apr 29 21:03 /dev/bdmcpu322
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 34, 8 Apr 29 21:03 /dev/bdmicd0
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 34, 9 Apr 29 21:03 /dev/bdmicd1
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 34, 10 Apr 29 21:03 /dev/bdmicd2

When I test the driver with : ./chk /dev/bdmcpu321 this is the result

Driver Ver : 2.8
Procesor : CPU32
Interface : Eric's CPU32
Target status : 0x4 -- NOT RESET, NOT HALTED, STOPPED, POWER ON, CONNECTED
Register test, 1 of 1 :
D00 :
Write Register failed : Invalid target command

When I try with : ./chk /dev/bdmicd1, the result is

open failed : BDM not open

What do you see when you type
  ls -l /dev/bdmicd1
