Hmm - my version differs quite a bit from the original.
I don't know if it's easy to backport a subset of the changes.

Given the fact that the PTY driver probably has to be rewritten
once the new termios code is in place, I don't know if it's
worth the effort.

Anyways: my version (loadable module, NAWS / TIOCGWINSZ support,
user configurable shell etc.) is available at
