RTEMS Development using Redhat 7.2 or 7.3???

We have been using Redhat 6.2 and have run into several instances
where the old distribution has made it near impossible to install some
of the newer releases of tools (DDD).  We are considering upgrading to
Redhat 7.2 or 7.3.  Is anyone on the list using either of these
distributions and it so, what success have you enjoyed?
