OK. Just for you to know that the proposed API is the result of this
exact work done 10 years ago as the outcome of the european STREAM
esprit project. The stream IRQ handling API was the result of endless
discussion among the major european telco teams (alcatel, siemens, Bosh,
Philips, and even AMD or USL labs) all pushing for their either
propriatory or favorite RTOS API for IRQ handling. It involved at that
time at least VRTX, Unixware for the number of driver availiable, pSOS
and VxWorks. So even if this does not seem to be the case, this API has
some background behind it. I know for sure one OS where portability is
was very obvious : ChorusOs... <http://www.jaluna.com>.
