GoAhead webserver

I am a webserver neophyte and have some basic questions about 
initialization of the following variables :
hostname
domainname
gateway
log_host
name_server
ntp_server

We want to implement a simple webserver to handle a post command.  I 
already have the web page displaying the block to enter the post command in 
and am getting some errors on resolving the host address.

Should these variables be initialized to NULL?
Do I need anything other than the ip address and mask of the unit running 
the GoAhead server?
