I apologize Joel.  I thought the machine I was using was running FC3
but I later realized that it was back at FC2.  I tried the qemu binary
on a FC3 machine and got a seg fault too.  Rebuilding from source
was quick and painless however and took care of the problem, that
is, qemu works fine under FC3 when you build from source.
