console driver interrupt mode problem

Hi all,
I am using RTEMS-4.6-pre5 in a big endian mips r3000
core cpu.
When I enable  console driver in Interrupt mode , the
threads are not
getting scheduled,
When I was using the polled mode console, the ticker
application run
successfully.
can anybody guess what is wrong?
