paranoia never really works on any ia32 target ;)
Seriously, you might want to check the gcc-list archives on gcc.gnu.org
for paranoia. Recently (some weeks ago) some gcc developers discussed
gcc vs. paranoia in depth.
I would not be too much concerned about paranoia, it doesn't even work
on ia32 linux most of the time.
