No- It is RTEMS that can now send the socket to the Mac. What I suspect
happens is that the Mac sends out some sort of broadcast when the
connection is plugged back in.
I tested that this was the case by rebooting both my Mac and RTEMS. When
I sent the broadcast to RTEMS, it said "error writing to the socket -
host is down" When I unplugged and re-plugged the Mac - Rtems was able
to send the socket and the Mac received it. So I know hoe to get comms
from RTEMS to the Mac - but still no comms from the Mac to RTEMS except
through the broadcast.
