IP address woes

I believe that I have found the problem.

When the MAC sends the arp request out, RTEMS replies that it is at the 
broadcast address

arp reply 192.168.0.254 is at ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff

Windows seems to be able to accept this (even though it is incorrect). 
The Mac does not accept this as valid
