It's because you, AFAIK, are using the 4.6.2 branch.  All the changes 
that Jennifer and Ralf are referring to are on the head cvs/4.7 branch. 
  As you are experiencing, on 4.6.2 the gen405 bsp only supports old 
exceptions.
