yum for RTEMS 4.7 tools

Yum seems to complain that the path:
http://ftp.rtems.com/ftp/pub/rtems/linux/redhat/7.3/$basearch/yum/rtems-4.7
does not contain a repomd.xml file needed. In fact, there seems to be an
entire repodata directory missing.

However, the 4.6 directory also does not have a repodata directory, and people
apparently got yum to work with the 4.6 tools. Am I missing something, or is
yum no longer working to install the tools binaries?

From searching around various web sites with yum info, it seems that yum
changed around the end of 2004 to use XML files to describe package metadata.
Are the files on the RTEMS.com server being created with the old yum-arch
tool instead of the newer creatrerepo tool? I think that might explain my
problems (I am using yum 2.4.1 on fedora core 4).
