I intended enhancing the documentation to be a 4.8 activity.  I mentally 
included this in the "promote libmisc
components to first class citizens" item.  I have enhanced this entry to 
be more explicit.

Hopefully someone is willing to help out.  This particular task has 
subtasks which aren't that bad and don't
require much more than being able to change code names and write a bit. :)
