RTL-8139D ethernet driver

What is the status of rtems support for the 8139 ethernet chipset ?   
I've found relevant threads on the mailing list:

1) http://www.rtems.com/ml/rtems-users/2003/january/msg00072.html
	-- indicates a driver was created/tested, but source was not committed.

and,

2) http://www.rtems.com/ml/rtems-users/2002/november/msg00235.html
	-- seems some success was had by using the ne2000 driver...

3) http://www.rtems.com/ml/rtems-users/2004/february/msg00122.html
	-- the existence of an rtems RTL-8139 driver was unresolved here...


FreeBSD's "if_rl" driver would be straightforward to port, but hints  
of the 8139's compatibility with the ne2000 chipset may indicate an  
even simpler solution.

Anyone have any experiences to share regarding this ethernet card and  
RTEMS ?
