Problem installing RTEMS 4.8 tools on Suse 11.0

Correct.

The error message indicates your yum's $basearch
(cf. /etc/yum.repos.d/rtems-4.8.repo) not to match the expectations on
the server.

Well, the key to resolve this issue would be to know why $basearch is
being set to i386 on your system.
