General PTY and CONSOLE question

Thomas,
Thanks for the quick answer. But guess I am confused. You *have* to have 
a console driver in the conf table even if your board has no uart?

Or maybe I can replace the console driver with 
"CONFIGURE_APPICATION_NBEDS_STUB_DRIVER"  which pulls in devnull.h ?? I 
will try this...
