I'm a software engineer from egypt. i graduated a long time ago, but i'm very interested in developing for RTEMS. i have developed BSP for SAM7 and working on other projects now. i wonder if it is possbile to participate in Google SoC. if possible how to do it and what are the ideas that need to implement. any links for this project would be great.

It would be very nice that sophisticated memory management system can be introduced into RTEMS. However, this project will take a comparatively long time to finish.

Below is some links might helpful:
MMU in LynxOS:
VxVMI in vxworks:
And the implementation of MMU in LynxOS is more transparent and *ix alike.

The tasks would involve MMU BSP for some CPUs; page based memory management in the kernel; some API interface change (if any); and the memory interface (like memory map etc). I think part of these tasks would be sufficient for a Gsoc project.

I want to contribute to RTEMS as a google soc 2009 participant. I want
to work on "Page Based Memory Management System".

I have sound knowledge of Linux Kernel Internals and also have
experience of Kernel Coding. I am sure I can satisfactorily complete
this project.

I just wanted comments/advice/ inputs from all other devs and would-be mentors.!
