Hello Davide,
I guess you have a general memory corruption problem. If you add the shell commands, then you change the memory layout and a visible effect appears or not. So this is something for a debugger.

You have to make sure that the PHY is correctly initialized. For this you may have to register a driver. See nexus-devices.h for examples.
