how to use libusb

Hello,
We have sparc based board and rtems has already been already ported.
I want to use the libusb code (https://git.rtems.org/sebh/rtems-libusb.git/)  for our board but found it has different source tree.
How am I supposed to use it?  Am I supposed to place the freebsd directory under rtems source, build it including freebsd and use it in my application?
Is there any guide I can follow? Seems like Sebastian Huber is the right person to answer to this. :)
