Developing with RTEMS on the host

Hello all,
I want to ask, is it possible to develop applications with RTEMS
using nfs? So, building an application->putting it into the shared folder,
and running the application from the target from the mounted nfs folder?

Or, how to avoid frequent ROM writing?
