Are the Gaisler tools also version RTEMS 5.0?

The version I am seeing on my machines is:

gcc version 7.2.0 20170814 (RTEMS 5, RSB
089327b5dcf944bfc1d8d7f1ad1d30330088da72, Newlib 2.5.0.20170922) (GCC)

You need to use tools built for 5 with RTEMS 5. There are a number of newlib
changes the kernel depends on.
