There may also be special functionality for an RTEMS condition
variable, such as if CVs can handle priority inheritance then we would
want that. So a little research about what can be done with CVs would
be in order.

Also, if the new CVs and Posix condvars can share some implementation,
then it may be sensible to implement an score-layer condition
variable.

I think Sebastian H is quite interested in CVs for the Classic API.
