execution stops at rtems_rate_monotonic_create() ?

Following #include <rtems/rtems/ratemon.h> I added:

#define CONFIGURE_MAXIMUM_PERIODS 10

I also printed its value to screen early on in the program (which correctly 
displayed 10).

Execution still freezes at the same spot
