I haven't, TOOL_VERSIONS says automake 1.9.6-0.

I have that wrong, I left off the dashes. What I'm using is:

autoconf 2.59 with autoconf-2.59-quoting-20040817-1.diff which I hope
is autoconf 2.59-4,
automake 1.9.6 with no patches
binutils 2.16.1 with binutils-2.16.1-rtems-20050816.diff (I hope
binutils 2.16.1-3)
newlib 1.13.0 with newlib-1.13.0-rtems-20050810.diff (I hope newlib
1.13.0-4)

Is gcc 4.0.2 OK?

Configure line is:

  --target=powerpc-rtems \
     --prefix=/opt/rtems-4.7 \
     --enable-posix \
     --enable-networking \
     --enable-cxx \
     --enable-rtems-debug \
     --disable-itron \
     --enable-maintainer-mode \
     --with-cpu=7450 \
     --enable-rtemsbsp=mvme5500

Hmm, that 7450 looks suspicious, I better double check I had that
before.
