NFS in a critical realtime system

I'm being pressed to use NFS in a our realtime system. We are running
are primary high priority task at 1khz and at least half of our cycle to 
cycle
time budget is used in it. It was intended that NFS be used for high rate
data logging.

I am actually quite reluctant to use NFS in our system (over a dedicated 
rpc, or
socket io logging server).

Any thoughts?
